Chinese Forum Leaks Samsung Galaxy S IV
The Samsung Galaxy S IV is expected to be revealed this week in a special event in New York, but a member of a Chinese online forum posted what is claimed to be Samsung’s upcoming flagship device. If these leaked photos are the real deal, it shows that there is little design changes from the previous generation of Galaxy S.
Based on the leaked photos, the Samsung-branded phone will have a 5-inch display, with a metal-looking band surrounding the phone, rounded edges like, and what appears to be textured surfaces on the front and back. The rear will be glossy white and the screen’s edges will be a bit closer to the bezel.
The photos also expose internal details of the alleged Galaxy S IV, including its 1080p display, Android 4.2.1, 2GB of RAM, Samsung Exynos Octa processor, and 13-megapixel camera.
Readers of TechCrunch spotted one tiny detail that casts doubts on the authenticity of these photos–the screen indicates that the phone has a dual-SIM capacity, a feature common among Chinese phones but not so much among Samsung devices.
